So, Battle for the Cowl was an arc following the death of Bruce Wayne. Essentially it was about all of the Robins having it out to see who would replace Bruce as the next Batman.
Myself and the rest of the cool people in the world were rooting for Jason Todd because he would have stopped crime by shooting it in the face. . Anyway, Bruce left Jason this giant asshat hologram post-death message that essentially called him a giant failure and told him to go get mental help.
